1. Finders Keppers Market

For lovers of design and handmade goodies… this is your place!



The Finders Keepers market is a massive three-day event featuring over 250 independent art and design stalls. Expect to find some lovely local makers from Melbourne, as well as talented favourites from all around Australia.

Each market is carefully curated, featuring amazing new talent and debut stalls at every event. With dedicated food and beverage stalls, live music, two bars, three stations serving fresh coffee and Melbourne’s favourite food trucks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

2. The Art of Banksy

Have you ever heard about Banksy? If you haven’t, you might have heard or seen the iconic Girl with Balloon? Of course, you have! Banksy is now in Melbourne!!

Famous for his graffiti stencilling technique, Banksy’s artwork combines dark humour with underlying political messages and social themes, which has now seen him become one of the biggest contemporary studio artists of our generation.

More than 80 works will be on display, presenting the largest collection of Banksy artwork to ever draw upon Australia, including the iconic Girl with Balloon, Flag Wall and Laugh Now pieces.

The Paddock will be transformed into a hub of art, food, drinks and music, with local legends, Welcome To Thornbury providing an ever changing roster of much loved food trucks and to refresh your palette, craft beers and summer favourite cocktails will be served at the exhibition’s own Circle Bar. The huge outdoor area, appropriately named The Railyard will host Live DJ’s to indulge the crowd on selected Friday nights and during Saturday sessions, heightening the Melbourne summer vibe.

Take an artistic adventure, exploring the mind of Banksy and his satirical street art.

3. Docklands Blues Music Festival

Blues music is always a good choice!

The Docklands Blues Music Festival 2016 is on Sunday the 16th of October 2016. Festival Sunday will include a full day of free events with over 15 bands playing over three stages located at The Wonderland Spiegeltent, Under the Melbourne Star and Harbour Town Hotel.

This event is FREE for general admission, it has indoor and outdoor stages, licensed seated venues, food trucks, carnival rides and attractions, entertainment for the whole family.

Sounds like a good plan!

4. Say Cheese Festival

Any cheese lovers out there? SAY CHEESE!!!

Prahran Market’s free Say Cheese Festival will showcase a selection of Australia’s best artisan cheeses in Melbourne’s oldest marketplace. Featuring cheeses and cheese-related products, dozens of delicatessens will participate in the festival, with recurring market faces joined by new talent.

Live music and performances will entertain throughout the day, as will cooking demonstrations and cheese tasting platters.

5. Oktoberfest in the gardens

Oktoberfest in the Gardens features two massive beer halls; authentic German food stalls, roving performers, sideshow alley, silent disco and an eclectic mix of entertainment and competitions across multiple stages throughout the afternoon and evening.

It’s a good day to taste a large selection of imported German beer, cider, wine and a range of other beverages.

6. Halloween at Melbourne Luna Park

Yayy! Halloween is coming and you have to get a ticket for a creepy party! Last year’s Luna Dark had a massive turnout and this year is going to be epic!

There will be blood and guts galore, roaming zombies and other ghoulish surprises that will be sure to give you a fright as well as a howling performance from The Strays! Luna Dark is a ticketed event across all three nights and tickets are on sale now.
